Have you ever felt invisible? Like the world is spinning around you at breakneck speed, yet somehow, you’re standing still, unseen, unheard, and overlooked? Maybe you’re juggling work, family, relationships, and a to-do list so long it’s laughable—but still, there’s this ache. This nagging feeling that no one truly sees you, no one understands, and maybe—just maybe—you don’t matter.
Can I remind you of something powerful today? You are not forgotten. God knows your name and sees your heart.
The Bible is packed with reminders of this truth, but one story that always gets me is Hagar’s in Genesis 16. She wasn’t a queen, a prophetess, or a ruler. She was a servant—an everyday woman who found herself running away into the wilderness, broken, used, and completely unseen. But in her darkest moment, when she felt like her life didn’t matter, God showed up.
He called her by name.
And you know what she said in response? “You are the God who sees me.” (Genesis 16:13)
Wow.
Friend, I don’t know what your wilderness looks like right now. Maybe you feel stuck in the monotony of motherhood, like all you do is clean up messes and wipe noses. Maybe you’re working your tail off in a career that feels like a dead end. Maybe you’re navigating the heartbreak of loss, betrayal, or unmet expectations. Whatever it is, know this: God sees you.
He sees your sacrifices, your tears, your quiet victories, and even your frustrations. He knows your name—not just your first name, but the name He dreamed up for you before you were even born. You are His beloved, His daughter, His masterpiece.
Psalm 139:1-4 says it so beautifully:
“O Lord, You have searched me and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue, You, Lord, know it completely.”
Girl, let that sink in. God knows you inside and out. Every fear. Every hope. Every heartbreak. He’s not too busy managing the universe to notice you. You are His priority.
So, what does that mean for you today?
It means you don’t have to hustle for His attention or approval. You already have it. It means you don’t have to carry the weight of the world alone—He’s with you. It means you can rest in the truth that you are seen, known, and loved beyond measure.
When you feel forgotten, like no one cares or notices, speak this over yourself:
"My name is written on His hands. My heart is known by my Creator. I am never forgotten."
And then, live like it’s true. Because it is.
Today, I want to challenge you to do something brave: Believe that you matter. Walk into your day like the radiant woman of purpose that you are. Make bold decisions. Speak life into someone else who feels unseen. Trust that the God who sees sparrows and numbers the stars is looking straight at you with love in His eyes.
You are seen. You are known. You are loved.
Here’s to embracing that truth and living unfiltered in His grace.
